I don't own any guns. I don't like gun violence. But I also understand what the 2nd Amendment is about, and why it's important to have groups like the NRA around.
Shannon Patrick and Kelcey Patrick-Ferree have a Writers Group column in the Iowa City Press-Citizen where they lie about the NRA and lie about the 2nd Amendment.
The 2nd Amendment was never about "state militias", despite whatever that Nixon appointee and Baby Killer Warren Burger ever said. King George III was trying to disarm anybody in favor of independence.
The 2nd Amendment is about the PEOPLE being the militia, not some entity organized by a State or Federal government, or a local county or municipality.
As for the NRA, how many mass shooters have been NRA members?
Regarding gun violence in major urban cities, how many of those shooters have been NRA members?
Shannon Patrick and Kelcey Patrick-Ferree probably agree with Beto O'Rourke's recent plan to ban all AR-15s and confiscate them by force. That would just be the start. Next would be the forced confiscation any kind of handgun by The State. They want jackbooted thugs knocking down your door, tearing apart your house, shooting your dogs, and perhaps executing members of your family just because they thought you had a gun.
The Bill of Rights were written because the Founding Fathers knew people like Beto O'Rourke and Shannon Patrick and Kelcey Patrick-Ferree existed.
But let's go over the rest of this column, especially the false notion that the Joe Camel ads enticed children to smoke. What a bunch of lies. Revisionist Moral Panic nonsense. I'm surprised they're not going on about Joe Camel's nose looking like a giant cock in order to attract the "patriarchy".
Shannon Patrick and Kelcey Patrick-Ferree think the DC vs Heller case is a "fraud". Heller allowed people in crime-ridden, Democrat-run cities, where guns had been effectively banned, to be able to carry.
